"When our son Aiden was in preschool, we were receiving frequent feedback about his challenges with fidgeting, spatial awareness, emotional regulation, and fine motor skills. Her suggestions, like using a dry-erase and slant board for writing, rocket crayons to support grip, and emotional regulation strategies, helped Aiden grow in ways we hadn’t imagined. She made learning fun, meaningful, and empowering. Aiden began to take pride in his progress. ​One of the things we appreciated most was how Ruth involved our entire family in the process. She provided helpful tools and visual supports for home, which made it easy for us to stay consistent and engaged. Thanks to her guidance, our whole family began speaking the same language around emotions - often asking each other, “What zone are you in?” during high-energy or difficult moments. It became a powerful way for all of us to better understand and support one another. We were also able to share many of Ruth’s tools with Aiden’s preschool teacher - from the slant board for writing to emotion regulation charts - which helped create consistency between home and school. This alignment made a huge difference for Aiden. It reinforced what he was learning and allowed him to feel more confident and supported in both environments. Even more meaningful was seeing these strategies positively impact the entire classroom – a true testament to how far-reaching Ruth’s work can be. What touched us most was how Ruth coached us in ways to help Aiden feel genuinely proud of himself.
